This call gives those considering applying for 2010/11 funding advance notice of our areas of interest. REY will provide general feedback on any proposals received before this date but will formally assess projects and allocate funding from 2nd Jan 2010/11.
Overview of project
Innovative Resource Efficiency projects are the main way in which the REY programme will address the new Resource Efficiency challenges facing businesses and other organisations. Through a series of managed pilots projects or trials REY will develop new insights to project delivery, the use of new technologies and the impact of new types of intervention.
REY has published this call for projects to enable support to be directed to innovative projects which fit within priority learning areas of delivery for Resource Efficiency improvements over the period 2010 to 2012.
We are seeking to ensure businesses and stakeholders from the environmental, waste management, recycling, energy efficiency, water efficiency and associated sectors across the UK are aware of the potential opportunities available through working in partnership with REY in Yorkshire and Humber and submit project proposals for potential support and funding.
Over the next two years REY will support a significant number of projects within the Yorkshire and Humber region which identify or develop innovative solutions and learning within priority material or business sectors.
More information on our initial thinking on priority areas for innovative projects is set out in the Call for Projects for 2010-2011 REY262
In previous years a mix of consultancy and business led projects have been funded ranging from £5,000 to £50,000.
