The Remade Network UK connects organisations working to turn waste into a resource and to minimise its impact on the environment by identifying alternatives to landfill.
A not-for-profit membership organisation formed in 2000, the Network's Members and Associates include organisations, projects and experts working in the waste and recycling sectors, at both national and regional levels; leaders in the delivery of recyclables market development in the UK.
The network transfers knowledge and shares good practise across members through a new website, events, joint projects and funded projects, including the rollout of successful projects piloted in one region into other regions.
Details of network activities, case studies and reports, and a link to the network member for your region are available at www.remadenetwork.org.uk.
Andrew Hartley, Programme Director at Recycling Action Yorkshire is the Network’s Chairman. “The ReMaDe Network is ideally placed to help fill the gap between national policy and local delivery. Regions are increasingly being highlighted in national and European legislation aimed at reducing environmental impact and development of new environmental technologies.”
